I get asked this question from time to time in response to my random, unexplained periods of exile from the Kingdom. Trust me, I ask myself this question too. There is always a relatively lame excuse; sick, tough week, kids, work (I WRITE for a living), or simply nothing to say.
Others with followings far bigger and more loyal than mine (BTW - I LOVE all 21 of you), have thrown in the towel and never looked back. I don't, though at times I've asked myself if I should.
Then I came across this...
..and it kinda perfectly sums up where I am right now with respect to this blog and my life. I experienced some extremely tough losses last month, people that meant a lot to me, and meant a lot to my family. Going forward without these folks won't be fun, but it's something that has to be. It places me at a crossroads of sorts, where I can either shut down or reboot. Being the eternal optimist, reboot we shall. So starting this week (I know it’s Thursday, weird, but I'm the Countess after all so the week shall starts whenever I like!) The Countess of Nassau County will launch the following format.
· Sunday - The Sunday Stunner - A favorite image or event of the last week.
· Monday - Eat this! - What the Kingdom is eating and loving.
· Tuesday - The Royal Family. - General thoughts and opinions on the events, activities, and products shaping the lives of the Kingdom.
· Wednesday - Whatever strikes my Royal fancy.
· Thursday - Decor Porn.
· Friday - Genius in the Blogosphere. A favorite post I came across this week.
That’s five, count ‘em, FIVE posts a week.
I hope you all like the changes. Love it or hate it, please comment and let me know what you think.
'Till tomorrow my subjects.

Whatever floats your boat. I love your ideas. I can't wait to read everything.
ReplyDeleteI think people put too much stress on themselves to post and then they start resenting the blog for taking up too much time and before you know it they hate doing it. Do it when you want it is your blog.
BTW This is all very easy for me to say as I don't have a blog I am just a daily reader of about 120 blogs. Ugh I need to get a life!
Hooray from one your readers. Looking forward to your
ReplyDeleteLong Island posts from The Kingdom.
